Machining
Competing at the cutting edge is paramount to the high level of service Oxford Engineering offers its customers. Investment in new machinery is fundamental. Our facilities host some of the most advanced machining centres in the UK. Millions have been invested in new machinery over multiple sites thus ensuring our capabilities can match the requirements of numerous industries.
Oxford Engineering Limited offers one of the UK’s most comprehensive ranges of precision machining capabilities, combining advanced CNC technology with decades of engineering expertise. Our state-of-the-art plant includes multi-axis CNC turning, milling, and integrated mill-turn centres, enabling complex components to be produced in a single set-up with exceptional accuracy and repeatability.
We operate 5-axis machining centres from leading manufacturers such as MTE, Hartford, Matsuura, and Mazak, alongside high-performance turning centres from Doosan, Hankook, and Daewoo. These are complemented by large-capacity vertical and horizontal milling centres, heavy-duty CNC lathes, and large vertical turning borers for oversized workpieces.
Our Zero-Point work holding systems ensure rapid set-ups and precision across repeat runs, while palletised machining cells enable efficient, unmanned production. We handle a wide range of materials and part sizes, from small intricate components to large, heavy-duty assemblies.
In addition to CNC operations, Oxford Engineering offers laser cutting, bending, welding, assembly, painting, and finishing services. All work is supported by advanced CAD/CAM software, rigorous inspection, and CMM measurement to ensure full traceability and compliance with exacting customer specifications.
From prototype to production, our machining capabilities deliver quality, efficiency, and versatility for industries with the highest standards.
Our Flagship Machines
The MTE 3500 RT is a 5 Axis Vertical Milling Centre. The RT type milling machine unites all the advantages of a traditional table type boring mill with those of a milling machine. With a combination of a highly stable, built-in NC 360 Degree rotary table with an automatically swivelling milling head, in addition to regular drill centre machining operation, to make complex workpieces within a single set-up with up to 5 processing axes.
